9/11 Stair Climb Honoring First Responders - 25th Anniversary
Join Bold Athletics, on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial for the 2nd annual 9/11 Stair Climb honoring first responders commemorating the 25th anniversary held in Johnstown, PA.
Secure your spot to climb the 2,200 steps (110 stories) to remember those first responders who gave all on 9/11 and to honor those who continue to run into the face of danger while everyone else is running away.
This event is open to people of all fitness levels with an option for everyone. If you are feeling up to the challenge of climbing all 2,200 steps, you are more than welcome.
Other climbing options include:
*Climbing half of the amount of stairs (1,100).
*Climbing the amount of steps that you are able.
*Walking around the concourse of the arena until the stair climb is over or until you have done the most that you can.
*First responders are welcome to participate in the climb in full gear.
*Weighted vests/ruck sacks are welcome.
Children 10 and older are more than welcome to participate under the supervision of a responsible adult, and a waiver must be signed by supervising guardian that will be participating in the event.
All proceeds raised from the stair climb will be donated to the Bold Athletics First Responder Scholarship Fund. This fund provides gym scholarships for first responders to be used exclusively at Bold Athletics.
Participants are encouraged to bring items for Cambria County Box 11 for a entry into the raffle. 1 entry for every item donated.
Items being collected include:
- Cases of 8oz (small) bottles of water
- Cases of small bottles of Gatorade
- CLIF Bar Minis
- Nutri-Grain Breakfast Bars
- Beef Jerky Sticks
- Hero Wipes
- 13 gallon Drawstring Trash Bags
- Paper Towels
- Fruit Snacks
- Liquid IV
The deadline to register to secure your exclusive event shirt is August 25, 2026.
Event happens rain or shine, as it is indoors at 1st Summit Arena.
No refunds will be given.
